SettingDescription
Use Used to select the type of structural member to place. Available types:
  • Footing
  • PileCap
  • Slab
Load Used to select the type of structural load the member supports. Available types:
  • Not Set
  • Gravity Only
  • Gravity and Lateral
  • Lateral Only
  • Non Structural
Material Used to select a material definition. Available materials are those added/imported to the project dgnlib or active dgn using Material Manager. You can open Material Manager by clicking the browse button to add materials.
Preview Displays a 3D preview of the active section definition including it's placement point and member line. You can change the view rotation and the rendering mode using the drop down toolbars in the top left corner of the preview panel.
Tip: If you do not see the member line (yellow by default), try changing the display to wireframe.
Place From Sets the placement of the slab relative to the data points that place the slab.
  • Bottom - The surface member is constructed from the bottom up.
  • Center - The surface member is constructed from the center, equally up and down.
  • Top - The surface member is constructed from the top down.
Thickness Specifies the thickness (or height) of the surface member.
Base Offset Sets the Z axis distance from the active ACS to the top of the surface component. This setting can be a negative value.
Note: Top of Slab works relative to the active floor elevation at time of placement. When the ACS Plane and ACS Plane Snap locks are off, Top of Slab is relative to the Active Depth.
